 Details
Developer Barrett East Anglia wants to put bird and bat boxes into a scheme for 35 houses and flats in Mercers Row, Abbey. The plans have been given the go-ahead by Cambridge City Council members who said they will be watching the results with interest. Councillor Philippa Slatter said: 'It will be an interesting one to watch on the biodiversity situation. The developer is trying bird boxes and bat boxes. No one knows how much they will be used. I'd like to see a survey in a year or so to see if something's going on and they are being taken advantage of'.
